Poem 13

Sometimes I wish
You would say what you mean
No speaking in Cyphers
Your words what they seem

Oh how you tend to
Add to my load
Instead of just talking
I'm forced to decode

I do try to Smile
But inside I'm screaming
Trying to find
Your secret meaning

Someday We'll talk plainly
And speak our minds
But until then I'm stuck
Reading between the lines

Flops,Socks ,and Toes

Sometimes poetry can be inspired my the most mundane objects....this can result in something amazing....or not:

My poor sock
Without a pair
I wonder if it even cares
Is it's mate in an affair?
Perhaps the pink-
She's missing too
Yes, she ran off with my blue
Hiding out in the laudry room
   So i wear..
Mismatched socks to school




Squat little creatures
Standing in rows
Stuck to my feet
Is the egnigma of toes

Poolside Party for One

I dance and I dance
For the world to see
I spin and I twirl
Being silly
Who cares if there all laughing at me?

My best friend hides
Her head in shame
Unhappy with my claim to fame
That dancing girl
A new nickname

Barefeet tap
At the poolside
And in this song
I'm glorified
And satisfied....

I didn't let summer slip away......
Instead I danced the night away!

Silence

It snuck up slowly
Tapped me on one shoulder
And creeped around the other
It came between us
A smothering blanket
And we sat unsuspecting
As silence filled the room

Conflict

Socitey's divison sign

Ever notice

How we take sides?

I tried my hardest to make this in to a hakiu but it just didn't want to be one.

Summer Kiss

I'm dancing with dusk
Cool grass swishing beneath me
Tasting the Summer
A warm breeze taps me on the shoulder
And I press ice to my lips


Normally I'm not a fan of poetry that doesn't rhyme but somehow this captures the feel of summer nights.
