They wear battle scars
And they don't know how beautiful they are
And society doesn't understand
That it's a fight
With monsters in the mirror
And monsters inside
When your fighting yourself
There's no where to hide
So they wear battle scars

In red lines
And I wish it didn't have to hurt
But I'm so glad they are alive
Living and fighting another day
So strong with their battle scars
And I wish each and every one
Would know how beautiful they are
